About Madam Raqia Hassan
Ex-Reda troupe, now an internationally famous teacher and choreographer. Raqia has trained many stars, such as Azza Sherif, Mona el Said, Dina, The Egyptian Amany, Nelly Fouad, as well as countless foreigner dancers performing in Egypt and abroad. She is constantly giving workshops all over the world and is the producer of sought after Raqia Hassan technique Video and Ahlan wa Sahlan music C.D’s. Raqia’s choreographies are full of interesting moves and are challenging without losing Egyptian Style.
It is such an honor to host Madam Raqia in New Orleans and to be able to learn from an authentic, experienced teacher!

About Nourhan Sharif
With over 4 decades of training and experience in Egyptian/ Lebanese Cabaret & Folkloric Dance, Nourhan Sharif is a leading American Artist of Middle Eastern dance and music~ Her skills are in demand around the world. She has taught and performed on nearly every continent!! Dedicated to the art of Raks Sharqi and to formulating her own expressive style, Ms. Sharif has carefully chosen a serious course of study in Egyptian, Lebanese, Greek, Turkish and Flamenco genres with the most respected teachers including Yousry Sharif, Tayyar Akdeniz, Morwenna Assaf, Elena Lentini, Shadia Malouf, Mariano Parra, & Anahid Sofian!
